We’re delighted to welcome Jo Wilson as a Splash About Brand Ambassador.

Jo brings a unique and highly practical perspective to the water. As the founder of Aqua Sensory and a qualified swim teacher working within Swim Works Swim School, she has built her teaching approach around sensory exploration, child-led learning and developing confidence in the water from the very earliest stages.

A natural fit through Aqua Sensory

Jo has been using Splash About products in her Aqua Sensory classes for many years. Her sessions are designed to help babies and young children explore movement, sensation and confidence in a structured but playful way, making her approach a natural fit with our products.

Aqua Sensory focuses on purposeful exploration in the water, encouraging children to interact, experiment and build skills through experience rather than instruction alone.

Bringing Bobbin' Buddies to life in the pool

Recently, Jo trialled our Bobbin' Buddies toys in her classes and shared valuable insight into how they can be used to support different stages of exploratory play.

In her sessions, she demonstrated how the toys can help encourage:

• Midline crossing
• Below-the-line reaching and movement
• Visual tracking skills
• Open-ended sensory exploration

What stood out most was how naturally the toys fit into child-led play. Rather than directing outcomes, they support curiosity, allowing children to discover movement patterns and responses in the water at their own pace.

We are excited to share a short video of Jo using Bobbin Buddies in her Aqua Sensory classes, showing how they support learning, confidence and enjoyment in real teaching environments.

Working with Jo gives us direct insight from the pool deck.
