Swimming lessons are filling up. Holidays are getting booked in. So it's a good time to ask: which baby wetsuit or toddler wetsuit will actually keep your little one warm and happy in the water this year?

One thing before you scroll on. Always supervise your child in and around water. A wetsuit keeps them warm, but it won't help them float, so pair it with a proper swimming aid if they're still building confidence.

Strong velcro keeps it snug. Arms and legs stay free, so babies can kick and splash properly. It suits babies from 0 to 30 months and adjusts easily as they grow. 2. Warm In One™ Under the Sea
If your baby feels the cold fast, this is the suit to go for. It's our warmest. The fleece lining traps a layer of water and your baby's own body heat warms it up, so swimming sessions can run well past the usual 10 minutes. It works well for winter lessons in a cooler pool. One tip: check the cuffs sit snugly around the wrists and ankles. That's where the warmth gets locked in, and it keeps barrier cream in place too.
3. Warm In One™ Strawberry Field
This shares the same fleece lining as the Under the Sea design, but comes in a bright strawberries and flowers print. Full body coverage suits both the pool and blustery British beaches. Because it isn't neoprene, it's easier to get on and off, which helps on a busy poolside bench. You will need a Happy Nappy™ or Happy Nappy Duo™ underneath though, since this suit doesn't come with leak protection built in.
4. Happy Nappy™ Wetsuit Tug Boats
New to baby swimming? This is a great place to start. It's made from soft 1mm neoprene with a Happy Nappy™ built right in, so you don't need a separate swim nappy at all. The sleeves come three quarters of the way down the arm, leaving hands free, and legs stay unrestricted for kicking. It's rated UPF 50+ too, so it earns its place in the changing bag for the whole summer, not just for lessons.
5. Happy Nappy™ Wetsuit Under the Sea (Toddler)
As your baby grows into a toddler, this design keeps the same trusted Happy Nappy™ technology, with a playful underwater print. The zip runs from the back to the waist, which makes changing easier once your toddler won't sit still. Getting the fit right matters here. Measure your child's tummy and thigh when they're lying flat, not right after a feed, and check you can fit a finger comfortably round the edges without any red marks.
6. Happy Nappy™ Wetsuit Turtle Tide
A bright turtle print with a lime trim, made for toddlers who want warmth, sun protection and leak conscious swimming in one suit. It's approved for swim school use, so there's no need for an extra nappy underneath. Prone to accidents? Add a Nappy Wrap for a double layer system. Once your toddler outgrows baby wetsuits, this takes over. It suits active kids aged 1 to 6, at the beach or in the pool. The 1mm neoprene body keeps the chill out, and UPF 50+ side panels give plenty of room to move. A high neck covers the areas most exposed to the sun. But don't skip the sun cream on hands, feet and face. UV clothing only covers what it covers.

Bright and bold, this one's built for a summer holiday. It keeps your toddler warm in the sea and covered from the sun on the beach. The zip sits at the back, so changing stays quick even when everything's wet. Keep topping up the sun cream though, especially after a towel dry. Friction rubs it off faster than you'd think.
9. UV Sun & Sea Suit Playful Otters
For toddlers who spend all day in and out of the water, this suit handles wind, sand, sun and cold water in one go. It's a good pick if you're heading somewhere with strong sun, since the fabric blocks over 98% of harmful UV rays even when wet. Just remember to reapply sun cream to any skin the suit doesn't cover. Hands, feet and faces need it most.
10. Kids Shorty Wetsuit Up & Away
Once your toddler's moved past baby wetsuits, this 2mm neoprene shorty is a natural next step. It resists wind, rain and sand, so it works well for watersports, paddling pools and beach trips alike. The zip sits at the front, which helps when little hands can't wait to get back in. Rinse it in fresh water after every swim, especially after the sea. Your wetsuit will last a lot longer for it.
