Make the Most of Holidays with Your Little Ones
You Only Get 18 Summers: Make the Most of Holidays with Your Little Ones
They say you only get 18 summers with your children before they’re grown—and if you’ve got little ones, you know how fast the seasons fly by.
The truth is, it’s not the big, flashy holidays that stick in their minds—it’s the simple joys: jumping waves in the sea with Mum, licking melted ice cream off tiny fingers, digging holes in the sand with Dad. Those are the moments that last a lifetime.
Whether it’s your baby’s first trip abroad or your older child is learning to swim, this summer is your chance to make memories that really matter. Here’s how to make the most of it—whatever age your child is.
👶 Baby’s First Beach Holiday (0–18 months)
Baby skin is sensitive and little bodies feel the cold more quickly—especially in early summer when pools might not be fully heated and sea breezes still carry a chill.
What they need:
- Warm-In-One Wetsuit – A fleece-lined essential that keeps your baby warm and cosy in the water. Perfect for beach paddles and cooler hotel pools (be careful not to let your baby overheat when out of the water)
- Happy Nappy™ – Our award-winning reusable swim nappy that keeps (poop) accidents contained and fun uninterrupted.

🧡 Top tip: Babies tire quickly in the sun. Plan water play for the morning or late afternoon—and don’t forget a hat!
🎲 Baby Game Idea:
"Splash & Reach" – Gently splash the water and encourage your baby to reach out for floating toys like teething friendly Pufferfish Flip and Floats. Great for hand-eye coordination and sensory development.
🚼 Toddlers on the Move (18 months–2 years)
They might be walking, splashing, and charging into waves—but potty training? Still a work in progress. You’ll need swimwear that’s secure, sun-safe, and easy to change.
What they need:
- Happy Nappy™ Wetsuit – Combines the leak protection of a Happy Nappy™ with full wetsuit coverage. Ideal for cooler pools or breezy beach days.
- Happy Nappy™ Sunsuit – A lighter option with a rash vest and built-in Happy Nappy™—perfect for warmer climates.
🧡 Top tip: Pool and beach toys go a long way. Pack a few lightweight options like our eco-friendly Snippets toys and the Pufferfish, great for teething and water play.
🎲 Toddler Game Idea:
"Colour Catch" – Toss the Snippets stars into the shallow area of the pool and call out colours: “Find the orange one!” It’s a fun way to build colour recognition, listening skills, and water confidence all at once.

🧒 Learning to Swim (2+ years)
Now’s the time when water confidence really starts to bloom. Whether they’re paddling in the shallows or taking a big jump into the deep end, swimwear that supports independence is key.
What they need:
- Go Splash Swim Vest – Lightweight and non-bulky, it helps little ones float while learning to swim. Featuring non-removable floats that pack flat, perfect for suitcases
- Swim Ring or Back Float – Great for posture and playful swim practice.
- Floatsuit – Buoyancy with removable floats that can be adjusted as your child gains confidence! Choose the sleeved Floatsuit for extra sun protection.
- UV Sun & Sea Suit or Shorty Wetsuit – For extra sun and wind protection. Both are great work under a Swim Vest or Back Float, the Shorty Wetsuit is slightly thicker, made from 2mm thick neoprene perfect for chillier days.

🧡 Top tip: Let them practice floating and kicking in shallow water first. Swimwear that moves with them helps build confidence and reduces frustration.
🎲 Swimmer Game Idea:
"Float & Fetch" – Toss sinking Snippets Sardines or Seahorses around the pool and challenge them to walk/swim over and “rescue” each one. Add fun by giving each toy a silly name!
🧒👧 6+ Years: Match with Siblings & Parents
Even the older ones still love being part of the fun—especially when they can match with Mum or Dad!
What they’ll love:
- Boys’ swim shorts in Forest Green to match Dad’s Swim Shorts & Mum’s Tummy Control Swimming Costume
- Girls’ sleeved swimsuits great to match with sisters and providing sun protection across shoulders & arms available from 1–2 years up to 13 years
- Dive toys like Snippets Sardines and Seahorses for underwater adventures
- Pufferfish beach ball – perfect for poolside games and hand-eye coordination
🎲 Big Kid Game Idea:
"Beach Ball Bounce Challenge" – Use the Pufferfish beach ball and count how many hits you can do without letting it touch the water. Great for siblings or family tournaments!
